After that I move into mounting the trucks and getting your hardware tightened the right way—secure, but not so cranked you’re damaging your deck. Then I finish the build with wheels and bearings so the board actually rolls smooth and feels predictable for learning. If you’re brand new, I also point you toward beginner complete options and the safety gear I actually trust, because progressing faster usually comes down to skating more often—and pads/helmet help you do that without getting shut down by a bad slam.
