ART NEVER DRIES: Building Drought Resilience through Art in Eswatini

Funded by the World Bank Group, “Art Never Dries” is a community-driven art project led by teaching artist Khulekani Msweli, that shows how students in Eswatini use creativity to confront the challenges of drought. Featured at the Southern Africa DRM Forum, the artwork connects personal experiences to Eswatini’s innovative approach to building drought resilience. Through student-led workshops—mosaics, poetry, and conservation flags—the project bridges local knowledge with regional strategies for climate adaptation.
