In this video, I’m covering Microsoft’s newly released Windows App (Preview) and what it actually does. Basically, it works like a remote desktop client—so you can access and control your Windows PC from other devices like Android or iOS. I walk you through how to find it on the Play Store (search “Windows app”), install it, skip the intro screens, and then set up a PC connection by entering your PC name or your IP address. I also mention a small trick: try both PC name and IP, because sometimes it gets stuck and throws errors. I also explain the account limitations. On Android, you can move forward without signing in, but when it comes to signing in, Microsoft wants a work or school account—personal Microsoft accounts won’t work. On Windows, it’s even stricter because you need to sign in before you can proceed, so again you’re basically locked into work/school accounts. After testing it, my honest takeaway is that the app is buggy right now, not optimized, and the experience isn’t very smooth (plus the display can look stretched depending on your phone screen). They may fix it over time, but at the moment I wouldn’t recommend it.
