About This Video

In this video, I show you how to run Android apps on your PC without dealing with heavy emulators like BlueStacks that often bring lags, crashes, and random freezes. The trick is using a Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA) build that gives you full access to the Google Play Store on Windows—so you can download apps, play games, and use social media just like you would on a real Android phone. It’s a clean setup that’s especially nice for low-end systems where traditional emulators struggle. I walk you through the exact steps: finding the right WSA GitHub release (and avoiding “pre-release” builds), downloading the stable Windows 11 x64 package that includes GApps and removes Amazon, and enabling “Virtual Machine Platform” in Windows Features so the install doesn’t break. After extracting with 7-Zip and running the included “run” file as administrator, you’ll finish setup, enable Developer Mode in WSA (important for APK installs later), and then sign into the Play Store. Keep in mind: it’s smoother than emulators, but there’s no key mapping—so complex-control games won’t feel as good.
