Solo Wild Camping with Big Tarp • Cook Meat on Fire

Having a go with a big ol’ 3.5x3.5m DD Multicam tarp. I love my Superlights and little tarps but I have to say, I really like the coverage of this. It’s over twice the weight of a superlight (1,050g excl. pegs & guy lines) but this isn’t an issue for a local overnighter in the woods. I wouldn’t fancy hauling it up a mountain however I also tried a closed-cell foam mat for the first time.. loving this for summer use – so versatile! But not as floofy to sleep on of course. This one is the Thermarest Z-Lite As always, I am no expert and always learning so please leave your tips & tricks in the comments for us all 😊 ***Filmed 8th July, before those 2 hot days we had. The woods were lush and green and it wouldn't have been possible to start an accidental fire.
