Halloween Special! 👻 Wild Camping at Clophill: Devil Worship, Witches & Murder | Bivi In The Woods

For this Halloween themed wild camp I slunk off to the notorious Clophill for a bivi, with its dark past of devil worship, witchcraft and murder. This camp was scarier than I anticipated it would be! There were some strange noises; - A horrible screeching sound (2:04) (that I thought at the time was a child, but on hearing the recording it’s a much nastier noise and sounds more like a cat or fox maybe?) - A long, high-pitched noise (4:29) that sounded like some kind of electrical appliance, along with voices (there are nearby eco lodges so I’m thinking maybe it came from there, maybe an alarm of some kind? Although it sounded like a vacuum cleaner in the woods and freaked me out a bit) - A weird noise and some grinding noises (8:28) when I was filming mushrooms and briefly lost my camp in the dark – I’m not sure what this one might have been - Crows (2:48), owls (3:50), barking deer (10:23) and creaking trees (1:37) which all added to the spooky ambience. And then of course, when I got myself all cosy in my bivi and settled down for the night, I heard something in the bushes and to my horror saw a set of glowing red eyes watching me (11:44), before blinking and disappearing. This REALLY unnerved me, especially after talking about the devil worship & murders that have taken place here. After the initial scare I realised that it was probably a deer, and my head torch being set to red light would have made the deer’s eyes glow red, instead of white. Still, after seeing the eyes, I refused to look out of my bivi again and kept my eyes closed until morning haha I feel that this place is a bit off, and won’t be rushing back to do it again any time soon 😂 See you next time in some non-cursed woods for a lovely autumn hammock camp with my first campfire cook :D (this has already been filmed, but is not yet edited).
