3 Wild Nights in the Mountains • A Snowdon Adventure • DAY 2

On day two, I continue the ascent up the Watkin path and make a plan to shelter from the worst of the weather before attempting the final steep section up to the summit. Despite my research, this section was far more challenging than I anticipated. It's physically demanding which is fine for me, I love a scramble - but it's the steep angles, exposure and sketchy scree slopes that made it really scary. I questioned my life choices on that path! 😄 Having said that, now that I've done it, I can't wait to do it again.. next time will be with someone, only a day bag, and with a go-pro on a chest mount I made camp just off the Minors path in some shocking weather, nearly lost my tent and got a bit hangry. What a day!
