In this video, I’m sharing the positives of homeschooling an only child—because yes, it really can be such a sweet, peaceful, and flexible way to learn. I’m a homeschool mom to an amazing 4th grader, and having just one kiddo at home means I can truly lean into who they are: their pace, their interests, their learning style, and even their personality. We get to build our days around what works, instead of forcing a one-size-fits-all schedule. I also talk about the unexpected perks that come with this setup—like the strong parent-child bond that naturally grows when you’re learning side-by-side, and the freedom to pivot quickly when something isn’t working. Homeschooling an only doesn’t have to feel lonely or “less than”—it can be really enriching, and it can create a lot of confidence in your child (and in you as the parent).
