Last year I came across a book from 1953 called Rackety-Boom at the thrift store. I have a weakness for charming vintage illustrations so I knew I had to get it (especially since it was only 28 cents!). I flipped through the book and noticed the mom wearing a cute pinafore style dress and knew I HAD to recreate it! I spent months trying to find the right fabric (preferably second hand). Last week I picked up a set of Pottery Barn curtains for $2.50 and decided they were close enough. I grabbed two patterns from my stash and started in. I had a blast trying to recreate the dress. Join me as I vlog the process of transforming two curtains into a cute 1950s pinafore dress. Used copies of the book are for sale on Amazon (nowhere near as good a deal as I got!) - https://amzn.to/2Cr2G7j I mentioned my dungarees in the video a few times.
