https://whisky.com/p.php?id=XRFLORC07GR Nosing 14:03 Whisky.com reviews the Flor de Caña 7 Gran Reserva Rum. Flor de Caña Rum comes from Nicaragua and is the only rum brand in the world that is authorised to call itself 'slow aged'. With this certification, the US government authority ensures that the maturation process is natural and not accelerated in oak barrels. The rum is produced directly at the San Antonio sugar factory at the foot of an active volcano, which belongs to the "Compañía Licorera de Nicaragua" founded in 1890 and is already producing rum in the 5th generation. Although the Flor de Caña 7 Gran Reserva is the youngest in the Central American production facility's range, it has been regularly winning prizes at trade fairs and competitions since 2001. It was matured in small 180-litre white oak barrels and developed a full flavour with complex, natural aromas from the barrel ageing without artificial additives. We only ship to the Netherlands and Belgium!
