Overlanding Anza Borrego is something we've had on our 'bucket list' for some time now -- and it did NOT disappoint. With 3 days to travel 100 miles offroad, we saw juuuuuust enough to know that we MUST come back! Canyons, technical trails, amazing dispersed camping, solitude, and insane views were seemingly around every corner. This place is a true playground for off-roaders and overlanding. About This Video

Anza-Borrego has been on my overlanding bucket list for a while, and in this trip I finally got to see why people rave about it. I spent three days covering about 100 miles of dirt, and it was one of those places where every turn feels like it’s hiding something new—canyons, technical sections, big views, and the kind of dispersed camping that makes you forget what day it is. The best part is the solitude; it’s a massive playground for overlanders, but it still feels wild and wide open. My biggest takeaway is that three days is just enough to get a taste—and that’s it. We saw juuuuuust enough to know we have to come back and do it all over again with more time. If you’re planning an Anza-Borrego run, build in extra days, keep your route flexible, and be ready to stop early when you find that perfect campsite tucked into the desert. This place rewards the slow pace.
