In this video I’m walking you through a Quince haul that was, honestly, an epic fail for me. I had every intention of these pieces working because I’m in that “re-curating my wardrobe” season—trying to buy for my body today, not the body I’m hoping to have later. I share what I ordered (mostly size large, jeans in a 32), what the fabrics felt like, and exactly why each item is getting returned—whether it was the too-straight silhouettes, lighter colors being see-through, or waist seams with zero give that just don’t play nice with my pear shape. The biggest disappointment was the Quince curvy jeans. I was excited for the curvy line, but the wide leg was comically wide on me—like JNCO jeans wide—and even the “straight leg” pairs had an excessive amount of fabric. I also tried a pair of flats as a Tory Burch alternative; they fit true to size and weren’t too wide, but they hit right at my slight bunion, so they’re going back too. Then we pivot into handbag talk with the Dooney & Bourke All Weather Leather Saddle Crossbody (caramel). The leather is buttery, the cotton web strap is the nicest I’ve ever felt, and I love the structure and details—BUT the stitching flaw on mine was a dealbreaker. I’m returning it and plan to repurchase (possibly in taupe) when the price is right.
