In today’s video I teamed up with my sweet friend Melissa Adams Wade to do a super honest “worth the hype vs not my vibe” chat about Coach bags. We didn’t tell each other our picks ahead of time, so my reactions (and hers) are totally genuine. Coach has been everywhere lately, and as two busy mamas who love handbags, it was honestly so fun to sit down and really think through what has earned a permanent spot in my collection—and what I wanted to love but just didn’t reach for. For me, the Coach Empire is still the standout. I’m an Empire girl (last year was the year of the Empire for me), and I especially love the Empire 28 as that happy-medium size, plus my Empire 26 in sage is just perfection. I also talk through why the Tabby remains a classic, and how the redesigned Rogue 31 completely converted me—especially as someone who’s not usually a shoulder-bag person. On the flip side, I share the styles that feel a little overhyped for my personal wardrobe: the Western Tabby (beautiful, but too distinctly casual for me), the Crystal collection (gorgeous craftsmanship, just not my style), the Bleecker bucket (the flop/cave-in bothered me), and several of the more ornate vintage re-releases like the Kiss Lock. My biggest takeaway: bags are personal, tastes evolve, and it’s okay to love what you love.
