In this video I’m doing what I love most—showing you the kind of wild stuff that walks into my shop. A customer brought in a full tube of 20 one-ounce silver Buffalo rounds that were literally recovered out of a pasture. And yeah… they didn’t come in smelling fresh. But once you get past the “where have these been?” factor, the toning on some of these rounds is just flat-out impressive. I take a closer look at what pasture exposure can do to bullion—how the environment can leave behind everything from ugly spots to some really eye-catching color that a lot of collectors actually like. We talk through the big question: do you leave them as-is with that natural toning and story, or do you try to clean them up and risk making them worse? My takeaway is simple: silver is silver, but pieces like this can end up being more than just stackers if the toning is attractive and you don’t mess with it.
