Another awesome #coin collection just came through the doors of West Tennessee Gold & #silver Exchange, and this time it's a sweet batch of Morgan and Peace Silver Dollars! #coinstore finds! 🔍 Inside the mix were a handful of better dates, and you know we had to take a closer look. Whether you're into the classic look of the Morgan or the bold design of the Peace Dollar, this collection had a little something for every silver dollar fan. Quick History: Morgan Dollars were minted from 1878 to 1904, and again in 1921. Designed by George T. Morgan, they feature Lady Liberty on the obverse and a majestic eagle on the reverse. Peace Dollars followed in 1921–1935, designed by Anthony de Francisci to celebrate peace after World War I. The design is iconic, with a more modern Lady Liberty and a perched eagle with the word “PEACE” below. If you love silver dollars or enjoy seeing what collectors bring in, this is one you won’t want to miss. 💬 Spotted a key date? About This Video

In this one I’ve got another walk-in at West Tennessee Gold & Silver Exchange, and it’s right in my wheelhouse: a batch of Morgan and Peace Silver Dollars. I go through what came across the counter, talk about what I’m looking for when somebody brings in a pile like this, and why certain dates and mint marks jump out at me right away. Even when it’s “just silver dollars,” there can be a couple better dates hiding in plain sight, and that’s the fun part of coin shop finds. I also hit a little quick history on both series—Morgan Dollars (1878–1904, then 1921) and Peace Dollars (1921–1935)—because it helps explain why collectors chase them and why condition matters so much. The big takeaway is simple: don’t assume every Morgan or Peace is the same coin. I always check date/mint, overall eye appeal, and whether something might be worth grading, because that’s where the real value differences show up when a collection walks in the door.
