To me, it seems that many traditional British ways of life are quickly eroding. The most acute example of decline I've witnessed is in Blackpool.. Britain's premier seaside resort is now a crumbling and decaying shadow of the memories from my childhood holiday visits. Streets of boarded-up houses and shuttered shops provide the backdrop for social decay. Homelessness and addiction is rife on the streets. Many people ask me to make videos that focus on the positives of the places they live, but I can't polish over the sad state of Blackpool. I ventured back to Blackpool after visiting at the start of the year. I wanted to speak to the people that live there to try to understand the place further - what is it like to live surrounded by such decay?
