Scarborough, once grand seaside town - the first true resort town of its kind in the UK - has fallen on tough times in recent decades. The rise of the package holiday has slowed the flow of visitors and social decline has been evident for decades. Viewers have told me it is Yorkshire's WORST seaside town, possibly the worst seaside town in the UK! I met up with @wanderingturnip and we gave the town the once over. From the Grand Hotel on the seafront to the supposed roughest estate in Scarborough we met the locals and found out what life is really like in 2023.
