The US non-profit 'Sapien Labs' concluded in it's March 2024 publication 'The Mental State of the World in 2023' that my beloved nation Great Britain had scored terribly when it came to metrics of misery and depression. In fact, it had performed so badly it had arrived at the position of 2nd most miserable nation on earth. If this is not a shocking enough revelation, it is even more shocking when you consider that the UK finished below war-torn Ukraine and Yemen in these metrics! Of course, this news shocked me into wanting to know more. I know things are not all that great in Britain at the moment, but at the same time is it really THAT BAD? And, furthermore, what the hell is THE WORST nation like?! So first I took to the streets of Walsall, which is about the most depressing town I know of these days (sorry Walsall), and asked the locals what their morale was like. Next, I made an epic journey to the mysterious and in some ways elusive nation that claimed the unwanted title of 'Most Miserable Nation On Earth' to see if it really was THAT BAD. This was not a straightforward endeavour, it took time and effort, and thus resulted in a long and detailed video. I certainly learned a lot about a country I hadn't even heard of until recently.
