Despite being run-down in parts, dated and somewhat tacky, I found on my first visit to Daytona Beach that it also held a nostalgic charm for me that reminded me of British seaside towns like Blackpool. On my second visit I arrive at the start of spring break 2026. What starts out as a relatively casual wander and chat with the locals soon descends into full-on party chaos as many thousands of young revellers from across America's south descend upon Daytona to go wild!
