This is an inner-city area of Birmingham that has been much documented by YouTubers. For decades Soho Road and the district of Handsworth where it resides have been a multi-cultural melting pot. Immigrant communities from all corners of the world call this area home. It is often portrayed as a dangerous no-go zone that is riddled with social issues and crime, whilst also stereotyped as a dirty area due to the much documented refuse collection issues in the area. Gang and knife crime problems are sadly a fact of life here. Despite the negative headlines, I was convinced there is also much good in the community. Consequently I enlisted the help of my Jamaican friends @TherealBlingLifestyle and local dancehall artist @1LawdGad to guide me around the area. They are Birmingham residents and know Soho Road well due to their links within the vibrant Jamaican community there.
