Perfect for camping or recreating vintage survival techniques, this recipe brings history to life one bite at a time. 1929 Hobo Biscuit Recipe: 2 Cups flour 4 Tsp baking powder 1 Tsp salt 4 Tbsp dried milk 5 Tbsp Lard/shortening or bacon grease 1 Cup clean water -- Mix dry in bowl or can, mix in lard/shortening/bacon grease with fork. Add water, stirring with fork until well mixed. Drop from spoon into well greased frying pan. Bake quickly in pan on hot coals until one side is browned then turn and finish baking. Time of baking approximately 10 minutes. Makes about 12 small biscuits.
