Wowww, we're on number 20 out of 52 tiny paintings in our 2026 Tiny Tuesday series! Today, let's paint a loose, beginner-friendly watercolor jellyfish 🪼 using layering to achieve a more vibrant finish. We start with soft, light washes that dry almost pastel, then slowly build transparent layers to deepen the color and increase saturation. This layering process is what transforms a pale wash into a richer, more vibrant watercolor painting without needing heavy paint. I really think you'll have fun with this one. Let's keep it loose, simple, and let each layer do its job. And like I said in the video, I hope you have time to do several of these. This one was relaxing to me as I practiced each piece. If you painted along, I’d love to see it in the Community here on YouTube! Or if you're not comfortable sharing with the world, you can e-mail it to me! 🪼 🎨COLORS USED IN THIS VIDEO: Mei Liang brand: Rose Red, Madder Red, Cadmium Orange (Amazon link below for Mei Liang set)👇 SUPPLIES USED IN THE 2026 TINY TUESDAY SERIES: Meeden Watercolor Paper: https://amzn.to/43gwBrg Cheap Practice Paper: https://amzn.to/49B3the Arches paper: https://amzn.to/47LyJcr Pentel Brush Pen: https://amzn.to/48JlBpu Black Micron Pens: https://amzn.to/4aJrxRk White Gelly Roll Pens: https://amzn.to/4jzkQDN Heat Gun: https://amzn.to/49DQj4P Mini Binder: https://amzn.to/4jBhJLE Watercolor Brushes (Princeton Snap): https://amzn.to/4i3bI9J Watercolor Paint (MeiLiang, Student): https://amzn.to/49d0xJb Mechanical Pencils: https://amzn.to/3PbqPU2 Arrtx Colored Pencils: https://amzn.to/3YjuS2a Please note that some of the links I provide are affiliate links.
