On 23 June 2014, at the 38th session of the World Heritage Committee in Doha, the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Trang An area has two main types of ecosystems: limestone mountains ecosystems and aquatic ecosystems. The biological diversity of the communities is a major factor that constitutes these two ecosystems. The natural environment is diverse and harmonious between creatures, mountains, caves, water bodies exuding the beauty of the young blue water mixed together into a rare area rare in the world. Trang An belongs to Hoa Lu historical and cultural forest (Hoa Lu special-use forest) was established on May 19, 1995.
