In this video I’m doing something I’ve never done before—cruising completely solo on the Carnival Sunrise—and I’m taking you along for my entire embarkation day from Port of Miami. I walk through what boarding is like when it’s just you, then jump straight into first impressions with a quick ship “lay of the land” tour: the atrium, Lido areas (Tides Pool and the main Lido Pool deck), Serenity, and a peek at the Cloud 9 Spa/gym and Camp Ocean so you can get oriented fast. After that, I show my solo cabin and what it’s really like settling in alone on day one—awkward moments and all. I hit Pig & Anchor, check out the Sail Away party vibes, then take you with me through dinner in the main dining room, a stop at Red Frog Pub, the Welcome Show in the Liquid Lounge, and even Punchliner Comedy. The big takeaway: solo cruising doesn’t have to be lonely—once you get past that first “am I doing this right?” feeling, there’s so much to do that the day flies by, and it can honestly be a pretty amazing way to cruise.
