In this video I share my thoughts on how beginners should approach learning programming right now, especially with the rise of AI. A lot of people say AI might replace programmers, and honestly, it’s true that writing code yourself could become less important over time because AI will be able to generate it for you. That’s exactly why I think the smartest move for beginners is to focus more on theory, not just memorizing syntax. I talk about understanding how things work under the hood: how a browser works, what tasks different frameworks can solve, what a framework consists of, and what options you have when you’re choosing a solution. When you have that foundation, you can interact with AI much better because you’ll know how to give clear, precise instructions—and you’ll be able to judge whether the generated code makes sense. And even if you’re writing code yourself, theory helps you produce code that’s optimized, readable, and less error-prone. Most of the time the real work is figuring out the approach; once you know the theory, the actual coding part can take 10 minutes.
