In this video I explain the best method to learn programming, and it’s not just “pick a language and memorize syntax.” A lot of people focus only on programming languages, but that’s a small part of what you actually need. Learning programming is a complex process: algorithms, databases, code editors, build tools, frameworks, libraries, and even project management software all matter. If you want realistic progress, you need a systematic approach where you understand how programs work and how to use the right tools at the right time. I use web development as the example and show a practical order to follow: start with HTML and CSS, then move to JavaScript. After that, you should understand how the browser works, what HTTP is, what an API is and how to work with it, and what build tools are used for. I also highlight Git and GitHub as must-have skills, and I emphasize debugging because it’s the fastest way to understand what your code is really doing and where errors come from. Once the basics are solid, then it makes sense to learn frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular—while understanding what each one is suitable for. My main takeaway is simple: programming is like building a house—you need many tools, and you need to know when to use each one.
