In this video I talk about how to actually think about getting an entry-level programming job by looking at what companies are really asking for. I recently visited an IT fair where big companies like BMW, ADAC, and Check24 showed their tech and explained the kinds of programmers they need right now. One cool example: BMW engineers built augmented reality glasses for use in cars, and seeing that stuff in person makes the “what should I learn?” question way more practical. I also share the most common programming languages I saw in demand at the fair: Java, Python, C++, and C#. If your goal is a large company, these are solid options to focus on because they consistently show up in real job requirements. To make it concrete, I picked up two flyers with job descriptions for a junior and a senior developer and I recommend comparing them so you understand what “entry level” actually means versus what comes later. My biggest takeaway: go where companies are, ask managers and engineers what they use, and apply directly to the companies you like. These events let you network, learn the tech stack trends, and turn curiosity into real applications.
