In this video I break down how to ACTUALLY get invited to interviews for an entry level programming job, because I’ve been on the other side of it — sending my resume out and getting only rejections. At first I didn’t understand what was wrong, so I started analyzing my mistakes and changing my resume over and over: headings, sections, photos, layout — everything. I also talked to coaches and recruiters, and honestly everyone had a different opinion, so I’m sharing what worked in my case after years of experience with this process. My main point is simple: your resume is the starting point that should lead you to an interview. If you’re applying for junior roles (or even more experienced roles) and you’re not getting interviews, that’s a signal something is wrong with the resume. I walk you through my structure: name at the top, the exact position you’re applying for, a short bio, and a friendly photo on a white or gray background. Then I explain how I format work experience (including what to do if you’re junior and only have projects), education, and the right-side block with contacts, technologies, and languages — and why I always save it as a small PDF and attach certificates separately.
