If it’s Wednesday, it’s Warhammer—and this week I’m coming at you from a hotel room, post-Adepticon, doing a full reaction to the preview show (technical issues and all… which, honestly, felt extremely on brand for everyone involved). The room was a million billion degrees, it was packed, and the pacing of the preview was pure “just roll it” energy—Middle-earth, Underworlds, 40K, AoS, boom boom boom. So we sat down—me, CJ, Martin, and Uncle Adam—and did what we do: react, joke, nitpick, and try to separate “cool model” from “what is this even for?” On the 40K side, we talk Armageddon (again), an Ork on a bike, Commissar stuff, and Guard vehicles that lean hard into historical WWII vibes—fine, but I’m still asking why the Guard can’t get something a little more sci-fi. Then AoS absolutely stole the show for me: Cities of Sigmar wave two felt like a home run, and the Cogfort reveal legitimately made me happy because it finally embraces “treat us like adults” alternate builds and rules support. And yes: Skaven ninja rats are back. New Eshin sculpts, updated plastics, and a named assassin that just absolutely rips—this was the one thing I wanted, and I got it.
