Haylou W1 Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds Today we will check out another in-ear wireless ear buds, from Haylou, called the Haylou W1. Btw, the Haylou W1 comes in Blue and White. But first things first, let’s inspect the packaging. I can say that the packaging is A OK and the layout and branding is balanced and not too loud. Plus, they really made the inner packaging look very good. The only disappointment I have is that they didn’t use hard carton for the packaging. This would have given them better first impression experience. On the inner packaging or box, you can see immediately the ear buds and the charging case. Actually, the so-called inner box is an illusion. There is a pull-out tab in front of the packaging where the ear buds and case are in place. So if you pull this up there is a box within a box… Once separated, pull the down the tab to open the back of the box. Inside this box is where the user manual, extra ear tips, and a very short Type-C cable are stored. The case is made of ABS plastic and it is taller and longer than the Haylou GT6. The approximate dimension is 45mm x 65mm x 30mm (WxLxH). It can fit in the palm of your hands. The matte finish gives users an extra grip and on the top of the lid is the Haylou logo. The W1 (white) has more subtle branding than the blue. It still shines whenever light hits its glossy finish. At the back is where the Type-C charging port is located. In front are three LED dots to show your power level and charging status. When you open the charging case, you will see the W1 ear buds. And when you remove the ear buds there are some glossy parts inside the lid and on the charging pods itself. And on the charging pods, you will also see the two copper charging rods. The charging case battery capacity is 310mAh with a charging time of 3 hours. They also magnetized the lid. Let’s inspect the ear buds… As you can see, it has that long stem design. In front of the stem is also the Haylou word branding. It is also subtle and non-intrusive. It has a matte stainless finish in front and on the sides except the back, where it is white. At the back, you will also see the two copper charging contacts. The buds itself are matte white as well… coupled with white and very soft ear plugs. At the end of the stem is the mic… And Every ear bud has two microphones. Haylou W1 is powered by Qualcomm QCC3040 chip and Bluetooth 5.2 chip. It supports dual-channel communication technology, seamless switching between mono and stereo mode. Each ear bud has 32mAh battery, with charging time of 2 hours and offers 6 hours of playtime on a single charge, while the charging case extends that to 20 hours. The Haylou W1 ear buds reduce environmental noise for coherent conversations using the latest cVc 8.0 noise-canceling technology and 4 microphones (2 per ear bud). The Haylou W1 is IPX4, it means they protected it against splashing water from any angle. Please avoid having it hit by low or high water pressure or dip it in water or exposed it to heavy rainfall or showers. Your Haylou W1 will definitely not work anymore after that. FYI, the charging case is not waterproof. With a stylish and ergonomic design, the Haylou W1 ear buds perfectly conform… to the shape of your ear canal and offer extra wearing stability and comfort. The Halou W1 also has intuitive touch control: - Click MFB button to Play/Pause music - Double click the left ear bud to skip track backward - Double click the right ear bud to move to the next track - To pick and end a call, just click once - Triple-click either Left or Right earbuds to summon voice assistant But those are all the basic features… the juicy features it has are: - the Knowles balanced armature driver, - a dynamic driver composite diaphragm speaker, - and multiple audio codecs of AAC - and the Qualcomm aptX Adaptive. Currently, the online retail price of the Haylou W1 (in Shopee) is just less than 40 USD or just under 2,000 pesos. Overall, I like the sound quality of the Haylou W1, especially when I’m watching Netflix or any online streaming App. It can pick up the smallest of audio in the movie, from subtle sound effects to background sounds. In gaming, it is the same too. And because of its soft ear plugs, it gives you that snug fit and a compete seal in your ear canal, and that helps a lot in generating the bass sound and also the cinematic sounds when watching movies or playing video games.
