The UniFi USW Flex Mini is my fix for the “one cable to the desk” problem—no way am I running more lines across the house. It’s a tiny 5-port (4 usable + PoE in) switch that lets me hardwire all the things at my workstation, including the Mac mini and whatever I’m testing this week.

Pros
- +Compact and easy to place on a desk/bench
- +Gives multiple wired ports from a single uplink
- +Fits nicely into a UniFi environment
Cons
- -Comes with a power brick (one more thing to plug in if you’re not using PoE)
- -Limited port count if your desk keeps growing like mine
