NotebookLM is the best AI research tool available right now, and Claude is the best AI for creative and professional work—but most people use them separately, and that’s the mistake. In this video I walk through four workflows that combine both tools into something neither can do alone. The big theme is simple: NotebookLM does the grounded synthesis (sources, citations, structure), and Claude turns that into usable outputs (visuals, content, and repeatable “skills”). First, I use NotebookLM’s newer Data Table feature to extract structured info from documents, then export it to Sheets and bring it into Claude to generate interactive HTML visuals—like a tool selector or charts you can embed on a site. Second, I take NotebookLM’s Reports (organized, coherent, cited) and repurpose them in Claude into platform-native content: a scannable LinkedIn post, a punchy X thread, and a crisp newsletter blurb—same insights, zero research fluff. Then I show the highest long-term value workflow: building a custom AI consultant. I create a deep-research “brain” in NotebookLM (frameworks, methods, communication style) and turn it into a persistent Claude Skill so it shows up consistently every time. Finally, I flip the direction: I use Claude to architect a precise research brief, then run that in NotebookLM deep research—Claude is the strategist, NotebookLM is the executor.
