In today’s read aloud, I’m sharing the inspiring picture book “Be You” by Peter H. Reynolds. We follow a young child who keeps hearing messages from the world about how they “should” be—what to do, how to act, and how to fit in. As we read together, I slow down and let the words (and those colorful illustrations) do what they do best: remind kids that their voice, their ideas, and their personality matter.
