62 Miles. 13,000 Feet. The Hard Coe Metric 100 MTB Race

This might be the hardest 62 miles you'll ride anywhere in the United States on a mountain bike. I absolutely think so. In this cycling video, I break down my experience riding the Hard Coe Metric Century. You'll experience from a POV view point the entire race course and my commentary on how it went down. The Hard Coe (or Hard Coe're) 100 is an annual MTB race (well, more of a challenge) held in Henry Coe State Park located in Morgan Hill (and Gilroy), California. The full 100-mile course consists of insanely steep climbs, rutted-out single track, rocky creek beds, narrow singletrack descents, and absolutely mind-boggling views of the remote backcountry. Over the course of the 100-mile event, you will climb 20,000 feet. We opted for the shorter, but still challenging, metric 100 in which you climb about 13,000 feet over the course of 62 miles. This course is beyond a doubt the hardest thing I've ever done on a bike, but also one of the most memorable. For anyone looking for an insane challenge that will reward you, give Henry Coe a shot.
