You're Making Mongolian Pork Wrong - Try This Instead by using a clay pot oven! In this video I show you the receipe created by Magnifique for one of the best Mongolian Pork dishes I have ever had. The secret is the clay pot oven! MONGOLIAN PORK RECIPE: Ingredients 1 lb pork tenderloin 6 Tbsp cornstarch (secret ingredient!) 2 Tbsp toasted sesame oil (or vegetable oil) 2 Tbsp minced ginger 2 Tbsp minced garlic ½ cup soy sauce ½ cup brown sugar ¼ cup water ½ cup chopped green onions (green part only) ½ Tbsp sesame seeds, for topping (optional) Instructions Prepare the pork: Slightly freeze the pork tenderloin to make it easier to slice thinly (about ⅛"). Coat the pork: Toss the sliced pork with cornstarch until evenly coated. Assemble and cook: Combine the coated pork, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, and water in the clay pot oven. Cook on HIGH for 20-30 minutes, or until the pork reaches 165°F and the sauce thickens. Finish and Serve: Stir in the green onions after cooking. Serve over rice, with optional sesame seeds. Notes Pork tenderloin is used as an alternative to flank steak, which is common in Mongolian Beef. Cornstarch helps thicken the sauce. Cooking times may vary with other slow cooker brands (approximately 1.5 - 2 hours on HIGH). Stir the pork during cooking for even coating.
