SteelSeries USB Port Repair| Repairing eBay Items | Did I make a profit?

So I decided to do this little experiment, separate from Uber Micro, and buy a device from eBay and see if a profit could be made. I see a lot of people out there posting these videos showing all these fantastic items and fantastic repairs, but they don't factor in the labour time and cost when calculating the end result. Depending on your circumstance in life would you have profited or would you have lost on this item? I know if I was doing this as a hobby I would have won hands down on this!
