Rodelio “Rod” Salaysay, post-surgery nurse at Jacobs Medical Center at UC San Diego Health, is hitting all the right notes with his patients. Helping those who come out of surgery, Salaysay caters to a person’s mind, body and spirit by curbing their pain and anxiety through his passion for music. Gifted a ukulele from a former patient more than 13 years ago, Salaysay integrates music therapy into patient care to boost healing, uplift his patients and enhance their overall well-being.
