I started restoring by removing the metal that was outside the blade at the top, then I removed the rust with the grinder , after that I put the Cleaver on a piece of sanding paper granulation 60 that I caught on a piece of wood to have a right surface and I started straightening the metal. To remove the deep scratches I used the sanding machine with paper 120 and 240. Then I started creating the handle from a piece of oak wood that I found through the garage, The wooden pieces was sticking with epoxy resin that I let 8 hours to get harden , after this i have installed the screw to give it more resistance. After mounting the screws I prepared another epoxy resin and filled all the wooden holes to give it a finished look. When everything was ready and well sanded, I began polishing the blade and the wood that got a beautiful color. At the end I started sharpening the blade. For the test I cut a tomatoand a banana in a very fine thin slices . This Cleaver I will give it to my grandmother who will use it to cut gras and fruits to feed animals. I hope you enjoyed this restoration I did not put the music in this clip because I did not want to distract you from the sound of the tools If you like subscribe and do not forget to hit the notification bell because I will post a new clip every Friday or Saturday
