German Naturalization Test | How Difficult is it to Get Citizenship?

We've been discussing the (potential) opportunity for dual citizenship in Germany for our American family. And part of the requirements to get German citizenship was to pass the German Naturalization Test (Einbürgerungstest). The American Naturalization Test is notoriously difficult and it has been studied and reported that most US Citizens would fail.
