Over the past few weeks I've watched dozens of videos on Dust Collection and came to the conclusion that if I wanted to do it right, it would cost me a few hundred dollars that I don't have to get a decent shop vac, cyclone thingy, hoses and adapters and so forth. I'm not looking to be HEPA and OSHA compliant at this point, I just don't want dust sprayed all over my face and shop whenever I rip a cedar picket or a 2x4. I made the stand last week out of 2x4s. Cut List: 14.5 x4, 18.5 x4, 29.5 x4. Make two 17.5 x 18.5 squares mounting the 14.5s inside the 18.5s. Add the 29.5 legs to the outside, I put the bottom box 7 inches off the floor, and you've got a basic stand from a couple of 2x4s. Measure your own saw and adjust as needed. For the box I used whatever I had lying around the garage. A bit of OSB, some old siding, some picket scraps and some plywood. Not looking for pretty, it's just a box. The front panel was mounted with Furniture Screws (Amazon Affiliate Links: https://amzn.to/3HqktNh Screws https://amzn.to/41ol499 Hanger Bolt Driver) that I had left over from my toolbox project: https://youtu.be/rSCyZX7hGIg I'll be getting back into making new projects as the temperatures continue to drop here in South Carolina.
