Building the Improved Three Tier Planter. "Easier, Stronger, Planterer!"

I made a video almost a year ago building a 'Version One' Three Tier Planter, after making a few for sale, I came up with what I think is a better process. The 'Improved' version uses side rails to support the planter boxes, which make the frame much more rigid, and makes mounting the boxes to the frame easier and less messy. I have also added a bottom shelf, cuz why not. These improvements turn the flimsy Version One planter into a rock solid frame that could be upscaled to hold much larger planter boxes using the same design basics. Cedar Picket Cut List: 11) 16 inch pieces, 9 for the boxes, 2 for the shelf. 6) 5 inch pieces for the box ends You can get 4) 16s and 1) 5 from each picket. If possible use scrap off cuts for the extra 5's. 1) 16 inch by about 2 inches to fill gap behind shelf. Rip a picket into 1.75 inch strips. 2 strips at 30 inches, square cuts 2 strips at 34 5/8 inches, 30 degree angle cut both ends. 1 strip 16 inches for back support 2 strips for upper support, 30 degree angle one side. Measure to fit. 2 strips for lower support, 30 degree angle one side. Measure to fit. Cross Support Heights: From top of straight leg, measure down 14 inches and 23.5 inches. Draw a line across both straight legs. This line is where you will place the Top of the cross supports. Adjust as you see fit. Total should be about 4 pickets. Questions? Just ask in the comments.
