Having trouble remembering the birthdays of your friends and family? Why not automate the process? In this video, we'll put all the birthdays in a CSV ordered by date, and we'll build a lambda function that checks that sheet daily and sends a personalized text message to those with a birthday. Maybe that seems heartless to automate birthday greetings? If so, have it send yourself a text daily with a list of birthdays and phone numbers and send them out personally yourselves. The main point here is that you remember them. This is a great way to become more familiar not only with automation in general but with lambda functions and one of my favorite languages, Go.
