Hey everyone! In this super chatty (and yes, a little rambly) mid-year setup, I’m setting up my 2024 bullet journal for the second half of the year in a Sterling Ink B6 (520 pages) with that dreamy Tomoe River Paper. I flip through my old journal so you can see just how chunky it gets (because you know I love, love, love a chunky notebook), and then I start fresh by covering the one thing I don’t love about these notebooks: the thin, ashy-black cardstock-style cover. So of course, I make a collage cover instead—and honestly, it’s one of my favorite ways to get creative and make it feel seasonal. From there I build an official cover page using packaging and ephemera (including a gorgeous bag I repurposed as a background), plus frames, tags, and all the little details that make a page feel finished. Then I set up the functional spreads I actually use: a future log (my only “calendar” because I’m not a digital person), a go-to meals list, a books list + master to-do list, and a gift list/wish list so I can get ahead on Christmas this year. And yes… there are butterflies everywhere, because I truly cannot help myself.
