In this crockpot dinner recipe, I show you how to make beef stew or soup using beef shanks in my crock pot, or slow cooker. The ingredients I used in my beef shank recipe are 2 beef shanks, a 32 oz box of beef broth, 1/2 cup of toasted flour, 4 russet potatoes, 4 carrots, 3 stalks of celery, and 1 small onion. I also used kosher salt, Johnny's Seasoned Pepper, and Worcestershire sauce to taste. I cooked my stew or soup on HIGH for 4 hours. Then turned the heat to LOW and cooked for another 2 1/2 hours until my beef shanks were tender. Then I shredded the meat and put it back in the pot before serving.
