My goal is simple: focus on safety, comfort, and fun for both humans and dogs. I cover six practical tips to plan your party the right way: create a dog-safe party space (including an outdoor potty area and a quiet zone), pick pet-safe decorations (skip candles, hide cords, and remove choking hazards), and serve dog-friendly treats (no chocolate, xylitol, raisins, or candy). Then we get into activities like trick-for-treat stations, backyard obstacle courses, and a dog costume contest. I also share how to choose costumes that don’t restrict breathing or movement—and what to do if your dog hates costumes (bandanas are a great alternative).
