The URSA D1 is the air pillow machine I’m using to make bubble wrap and air pillows from film rolls, and it’s a big step up from the cheap generic machines I’ve tried. The sealing setup with a double heat element and rubber rollers makes a noticeable difference, and the e-stop is a feature I’m genuinely happy to have for safety and quick shutdowns.
Pros
- +Noticeably better output quality than cheap generic machines
- +Double heat element helps seal bubbles so they don’t deflate
- +Rubber roller drive (no belts) and easy lock-down handle
- +Emergency stop shuts everything off and resets cleanly
- +Uses SD card film profiles for different filament types
Cons
- -First 1–2 sections at startup may not inflate, so plan to run longer lengths
- -USB port/function wasn’t clear or useful in my testing
