Was able to disassemble and inspect the inner workings of a Schwinn Suspension Fork that comes on the Axum and Axum DP 29er hardtail mountain bike. The exposed area of the stanchions measure 100mm so technically a 100mm travel fork. The movement is actually very smooth. Even though a simple design without rebound control it is still WAY better than the Zoom Fork that came on my Schwinn Taff and on the Boundary. It is not, however, as good as the inexpensive SR Suntour XCR coil (also without adjustable rebound dampening). All in all, not bad at all for a Walmart Bike Some budget upgrade alternatives: Suntour XCR 32 Air straight steerer: https://amzn.to/36bkXzB Suntour XCR Coil Straight steerer: https://amzn.to/2zLeuQ2 Suntour XCR Coil Tapered steerer: https://amzn.to/3dYwSDH As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases
