They are made of high grade multi-coated optical glass and they help reduce the amount of visible light that enters the lens of my camera alowing me to slow the shutter speed to get a blur effect while keeping subjects in focus on bright daylight. The light anodized airframe is very light and fits snug on the lens. I’m very impressed with this ND Filters. These particular filters minimize reflection on the filter surface, which reduces flare and ghosting, and produces sharp contrast and well-balanced color. An ND8 filter reduces the amount of light by 3 stops. Effectively, the ND4 filter helps to avoid overexposed photos too. The ND8 Filter Eliminates Washed Out Photos & Video Due to Bright Sunlight for Better Contrast & Rich Color It helps you to reduce the amount of light coming into the sensor giving us more options to control of the camera's exposure time and sensor sensitivity.
