Back in the good old days we used to have computers inside the keyboard, and Raspberry Pi decided to throw it back with the Raspberry Pi 500 Plus. In this video I unbox the RGB “full PC in a keyboard” setup, nerd out over the super clicky Gateron switches, and run through what you actually get: dual micro HDMI, gigabit Ethernet, Wi‑Fi, USB 3, microSD, and a 256GB NVMe already loaded with Raspberry Pi OS. I paid $260 from CanaKit, but I’ve seen it jump up to around $410 depending on the config, so pricing is definitely something to watch. Then I do what we always do at ToastyBros: I start tinkering and try to make it GAME. I give Raspberry Pi OS a fair shot (even though I normally go straight to Ubuntu), set it up at 1080p, and dig into Pi Apps to install stuff like Steam (plus Box86/Box64 compatibility layers). Steam is… real, but it’s also super finicky on ARM, so I show the weird quirks and crashes while trying games like Left 4 Dead 2. The big win is Minecraft Java on ARM Linux using Prism Launcher—after dropping settings and resolution to 720p, I was able to get it running around the 30–60 FPS range on low settings, which is honestly wild for a tiny keyboard PC.
