Learn to Make Karelian Pies or Karjalanpiirakka

Today on Tinagirl Life I will be showing you how to make my mom's recipe for Riisipiirakka, Karjalanpiirakka, or Karjalan pies. It doesn't matter what you call them, they are delicious and one of my favorite Finnish foods. I'll show you step by step how to make these wonderful pies at home in your own kitchen. We'll start with the rice porridge and get it just right, then we'll make the rye flour dough and finally form them into the cute little pies before baking them in a very hot oven.
